To show or to tell, that is the question! Usually, the answer given to all budding authors is to show whenever possible, and avoid telling whenever possible. I feel bad for telling–it gets a bad rap. Sometimes when you start writing a book, you actually need to tell yourself what’s going on, but there are many other times when telling is actually a better choice.
